Welcome

Welcome to the Providence Pelvic Health Center. We are a group of Urogynecologists who have made our life's work to improve the quality of life for women in Southeastern Michigan. We are employed by Ascension Medical Group so that we can utilize the resources of one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in Michigan. We see patients at two offices (Farmington Hills and Novi locations) and do all our inpatient admissions and surgeries at Ascension Providence (both the Southfield and Novi campuses).

What is Urogynecology?

Urogynecology is the unofficial name of our specialty. The formal name is Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. All our physicians are double Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Typically, Urogynecologists focus on different pelvic disorders that impact a woman's quality of life. These include pevlic organ prolapse (including cystocele, rectocele, enterocele and uterine prolapse), painfull intercourse, pelvic pain and urinary or fecal incontinence. Since this is all we do, we are able to approach these issues with sensitivity and compassion.

What to expect

Our schedules are quite busy because we have allowed enough time for each patient to get the individualized attention they deserve. At the initial evaluation, we will talk with you and find out what your symptoms are. More importantly, we will try to understand how those symptoms impact your life. We then will to a physical exam and any needed testing to clarify your issues. Finally, we will explain everything and give you options. There is no single way of dealing with these issues!
